About Navodaya Vidyalaya

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya well known as JVN. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is a system of central schools managed by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is an Autonomous Body Under Ministry of Education which is all controlled by Government of India.

The school offer high -quality education that motivates and encourages strong, smart and competent young minds. With the education, the student can excel in physical education programs also.

Every new session Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is releasing an Admission form for Navodaya School for 6th and 9th Standard. In India, there is a Total of 661 JNV Schools running in different states. All Jawahar Navodaya Schools Are Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE.

Students of 5th Standard can Apply for 6th Class. And All Students of 8 Class Can Apply for 9th Standard. For that Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is conducting Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam.

Admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is made on the basis of a Selection Test, designed and conducted by the CBSE. The test is called the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).

ADMISSION DETAILS

LOCATION – There are 661 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools in India. These JNVs are governed by eight different regions. These Regional Offices are at Bhopal, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Pune and Shillong which have jurisdiction over different states and union territories of India. navodaya.gov.in

ADMISSION IN - Class 6 & Class 9

APPLICATION FORM - The application can be applied online and offline. Candidate can collect application forms from nearby Navodaya school. If you want to apply online you can visit the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya https://navodaya.gov.in.

EXAM CONDUCTED – Once in the year. (Two Phases)


ELIGIBILITY –

For Class 6

  • • Age – Minimum age of 10 Years and Maximum Age of 12 Years.
  • • Students of 5th Standard can Apply for 6th Class.

For Class 9

  • • Age – Minimum age of 13 Years and Maximum Age of 15 Years.
  • • Students of 8th Standard can Apply for 9th Class.
RESERVATION –

There is a reservation for 75% of rural areas.

There is a reservation for 25% for the urban area.

SC category: 15%

ST category: 7%

Physically Handicapped category candidates are 3%

For boys, it is 67%.

For girls, there is a reservation for 33%.

For Class 9
  • • Both boys and girls can apply.
  • • A candidate should not be less than 13 years and more than 15 years of age as on 31 March of the year of admission.
  • • Candidate should have passed Class 8 from a govt/recognized school before the date of admission. Students studying in Class 8 are also eligible.

MODE OF EXAM – (Offline) Paper pencil on OMR answer sheets for admission to both Class 6 and Class 9.
