FAQ’S for RMS

RMS stands for “Rashtriya Military School.” These schools are run by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and they are known for providing quality education along with military training and discipline.

The RMS Entrance Exam is conducted annually for admission to class 6th and 9th in the Rashtriya Military Schools across India. It assesses students' academic aptitude, intelligence, and potential for leadership roles.

Applications for the RMS Entrance Exam are typically released online through the official website of Rashtriya Military Schools. Interested candidates must carefully follow the instructions and deadlines specified in the notification.

There are total 5 schools of RMS which comes under Ministry of Defence. Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Ajmer & Dholpur (Rajasthan), Belgaum & Bangalore (Karnataka)

For Class 6th: Boys and girls should not be less than 10 years and more than 12 years of age as on 31 March of the year of admission.
For Class 9th: Boys and girls should not be less than 13 years and more than 15 years of age as on 31 March of the year of admission.

It conducts its examination once in a year, i.e. December.

The exam typically consists of multiple-choice questions in Mathematics, English, General Knowledge, and Intelligence. The syllabus is based on the standard curriculum of the previous class.

Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for an interview and medical examination. Final selection is based on the combined performance in the written test, interview, and medical fitness assessment.
